First 500km of the Tour de France 2013 is set. There will be 3 stages on Corsica and here we also come with a final date of our departure - we start on Friday June 28th 2013 at around 6am from the Corsica harbor Porto-Vecchio.
Kick Your Life, Kick France 2013 project knows the time and place of its start. It is going to happen in Corsica´s harbor Port Vecchio on June 28th 2013.
First stage is 200km long, it starts in Porto Vecchio and finishes in the northern part of the island in well-known sea side town Bastia. It is flat ground stage running along the great Corsica beaches. Hopefully we find our time to have a bath somewhere:)
Second stage is shorter(155km), however not funny at all. It goes through the hilly inner land of Corsica in the south-western direction to the city of Ajaccio. There are some obstacles on the way - Col de Bellagranajo (723 m), Col de la Serra (807 m), Col de Vizzavona (1,163). and the wall of Monte Salario some 10km before finish line. Well, start is at the sea level, so really huge climbs at the beginning...
The last stage of Le Grand Depart is the shortest, just 145km partially along the sea, partially through the hills of the inner land. There are some minor climbs to Col de San Bastiano (415 m), Col de Lava (498 m), Col de Palmarella (374 m) and Col de Marsolino (443 m). Still not friendly at all if we take summer temperatures into account. This stage finishes in Calvi.
OK, this is the very beginning phase of the Tour 2013 – no prologue, just tough pure kicking.
We will bring detailed previews of Le Grand Depart stages as soon as possible...
